The name of the bird is more accurately spelled "duh-ve". Any duh-ve breeder can tell you many tales of how stupid these featherheads truly are!

We've seen them sitting on a perch to lay eggs, and looking sooo confused when they later come across their own egg, cracked and dead, on the ground below.

I never really thought about what happened to the doves after they were released...I guess I thought they would like fly back somewhere like messenger pigeons or something.
